PHOENIX, Ariz. (March 11, 2026) – Wyoming Cowgirl Malene Pedersen has been named a finalist for the 2026 Lilly Women's College All-Star Game. The All-Star Game, which will return to national championship weekend April 4 at Global Credit Union Arena on the campus of Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, will be televised nationally on ESPN2 at 11 a.m.

Pedersen is one of 100 of the nation's top women's basketball seniors and is one of just three finalists from the Mountain West. A two-time All-Mountain West Team honoree, Pedersen averaged 17.2 points per game this season on 44.6-percent shooting from the floor and 34-percent from beyond-the-arc while leading the Cowgirls with 55 3-pointers. Pedersen, who closed her Wyoming career with a career-best 29 points against Air Force, scored in double figures in 49 consecutive games to close her illustrious career.

Pedersen is seventh in program history with 1,713 career points and averaged 13.2 points per game for her career. She finished sixth in UW history with 639 career field goals, 10th with 167 career 3-pointers and 16th with 268 career free throws. Her career free-throw percentage of 88.4-percent is the best in program history.

After being named the Mountain West Freshman of the Year during the 2022-23 campaign -- she was named the rookie of the week five times that winter -- Pedersen landed on the all-tournament team twice and over the last two seasons has been named a first team all-conference selection.
