Wyoming Basketball Bound for Daytona in November to Face Duquesne, Kent State

LARAMIE, Wyo. - There's a lot of excitement in the air when it comes to Wyoming Basketball. Head coach Sundance Wicks and his staff have been steadily building something special over the last couple of years, and they just came off of an NIT bid.


Pack your bags!


The Wyoming Cowboys will play a pair of non-conference games at the Sunshine Slam in Daytona, Florida, and the matchups are set for the seventh annual event, which will take place November 22 and 24 at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach.


The Pokes will face Duquesne on Sunday, November 22, and then close the event against Kent State on Tuesday, November 24.

It marks the fifth all-time meeting against Duquesne and the first meeting since Dec. 26, 1961. The Meeting against Kent State will be the second all-time meeting between the two teams, with the first on Dec. 5, 1958.


Tickets may be purchased in advance at Ticketmaster.com starting on Wednesday, September 9, or on the day of competition at the Ocean Center box office.
