Cowboys Set to Battle Austin Peay Tonight

Contest set for 6:30 p.m. Start

LARAMIE, Wyo. (NOV. 11, 2025) - The Wyoming Cowboys host the Austin Peay Governors on Tuesday evening inside the Arena-Auditorium for a 6:30 p.m. start. It is the first meeting between the schools in Laramie and the first meeting since 1996. Both teams head into the contest with a 2-0 record.
Fans can watch, listen to the contest, as well as follow stats on GoWyo.com. The game will be broadcast live on the Cowboy Sports Network's 26 affiliate stations, with Keith Kelly on the call alongside Kevin McKinney.

About The Teams
Wyoming enters the contest with a 2-0 record after defeating Cal State Fullerton by a score of 92-82 on Saturday afternoon. The Pokes are averaging 95.5 points per game and are allowing 78.5 per contest. It is the first time since the 1990-91 season that Wyoming has scored 90 or more points in the first two games of the season. UW is shooting 50 percent from the field and holding opponents to 42 percent. Wyoming is hitting nine threes per game and are shooting 38 percent from behind the arc. The Cowboys are +10 on the glass this season, grabbing 45 per game.
The Governors are also 2-0 on the season with wins over Bryan by a score of 128-47 and a road win at Air Force 74-54. Austin Peay averages 101 points per game and allows 50.5 points per night. The Govs are shooting 53 percent from the field and 41.5 percent from behind the arc. Opponents are shooting 34 percent and average 29 turnovers per game. Austin Peay also shares the ball at a high level, averaging 24 assists per game.
About The Players
The Pokes Cowboys are led in scoring by freshman Nasir “Naz” Meyer at 18.5 points per game, as he ranks fourth in the MW in scoring. He also adds 5.5 rebounds per game and 3.5 assists per night. He is shooting 60 percent from the field. Khaden Bennett adds 14.5 points per game and six rebounds per night. Damarion Dennis adds 13.5 points per game and is shooting 61.5 percent from the field. Leland Walker leads the team with 4.5 assists per game. Abou Magassa leads the team, grabbing 6.5 rebounds per night.
Austin Peay is led in scoring by Tate McCubbin at 18 points per game, along with five rebounds and five assists. He is shooting 63 percent from the field and has hit seven threes. Anton Brookshire adds 15 points per game and leads the team, shooting 61.5 percent from behind the arc. Zyree Collins adds 12.5 points per game and adds per night.

The Cowboys and Governors met once on December 14, 1996, with the Cowboys earning a 76-71 win in Clarksville, Tenn.
