Cowboys Set for Road Contest Against No. 20 Texas Tech

LARAMIE, Wyo. (Nov. 28, 2025) - The Wyoming Cowboys head to No. 20 Texas Tech for a Sunday matchup inside the United Supermarket Arena. The contest is slated for a 1 p.m. MT start as UW will faceoff against former head coach Jeff Linder who serves as an assistant for the Red Raiders . The contest is on ESPN+

Fans can listen to the contest, as well as follow stats on GoWyo.com. The game will be broadcast live on radio over the 26 affiliate stations of the Cowboy Sports Network with Erick Pauley on the call.

About The Teams

Wyoming heads into the contest with a 6-1 overall record. The Pokes are averaging 87 points per game and allow 68.9 points per game. The Pokes are shooting 47 percent from the field and are holding opponent’s 38.9 percent, which ranks first in the Mountain West this season. UW adds 9.1 three pointers per game and holds opponents to 23.6 percent from behind the arc, which ranks first in the MW and fifth in the nation. The Pokes also grab 43.9 rebounds per game to first in the MW and in the top-25 in the nation.

The Red Raiders enter the contest ranked No. 20 in the nation with a 5-2 overall record. Texas Tech averages 82.1 points per game for the season and allows 71.4 per night. The Red Raiders are shooting 43 percent from the field with opponents shooting 44 percent. One of the nation’s top three-point shooting teams, Texas Tech hits 11.3 per game. TTU grabs 40.3 rebounds per game and record only 10.7 turnovers per night.

About The Players

Wyoming is led by Leland Walker at 12.6 points per game on the season. He also adds 4.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists per night. Khaden Bennett adds 10.7 points per game and leads the team with 5.7 rebounds per game. Nasir (Naz) Meyer adds 10.7 points per game off the bench and adds 3.7 rebounds per game and nearly three helpers per night. Damarion Dennis adds 10.1 points per game and is shooting 53 percent from the field.

Texas Tech is led in scoring by JT Toppin one of the nation’s top players scoring 21.3 points per game and adds 11.3 rebounds per night. Christian Anderson scores 18.6 points per game with over seven assists per game. Donovan Atwell is one of the top three-point shooters in the nation with 27 makes on the season shooting 46 percent.

About The Series

The Cowboys and Red Raiders will meet for the 14th time on Sunday. It will mark the second-straight season the two will meet. The Pokes are 7-6 all-time against Texas Tech and own a 3-4 record in Lubbock.

The Cowboys return home for a Saturday afternoon contest against Dartmouth on Saturday with the contest slated for 2 p.m.
