Wyoming Football Announces 2026 Early Signing Class

Laramie, Wyo. (Dec. 6, 2025) -- The Wyoming Cowboy Football program announced 20 commitments on the first day of the 2026 early signing period on Wednesday. The group of 20 student-athletes come from 10 different states.

"We are excited about the group we have brought in. We felt that we addressed a wide array of needs we will have on a yearly basis in this program, from offensive line, tight end, quarterback, wide receiver, defensive tackle all the way through in positions that are important to recruit, maintain and develop. We really like this class."

"This class augments really well with last year's class in the fact that we always want a quarterback and we feel like with Taylor Hasselbeck we get another really good quarterback. I think at wide receiver we continue to build on a physicality and athletic ability piece. In the offensive line we want to be in a space where we sign a minimum of four every year. At defensive tackle we needed to sign three and that augments the group from last year very well. We have two in-state kids with one on offense and one on defense that we are excited about. We also brought in three linebackers that are the fast group that we have brought in since I have been here."
2026 Football Signing Periods
The early signing period for college football teams started on Wednesday, December 3 and will run through Friday, December 5.
The transfer Portal opens on January 2 and the regular signing period opens on February 4.
2026 Wyoming Football Early Signing Class Select Highlights
•18 three-star rated high school recruits by both 247Sports.com and Rivals.
•The Cowboys signed the top two recruits in the State of Wyoming, as the two ranked both as three-star recruits by 247Sports.com.
•The Cowboys added four players from the State of Missouri with three of them ranking in the top-30 in the Show Me State.
•The Cowboys signed the son of a former Cowboy in Dante Bruley, who's father John played for the Brown and Gold from 1990-1993. UW also signed a brother of a current player, as Beck Haswell from Sheridan will join his brother Alex in Laramie.
•The Pokes added a quarterback from the State of Tennessee in Taylor Hasselbeck. His father Tim played in the NFL and is currently an analyst for ESPN.
•Four signees will enroll in January for the Brown and Gold.
Position Breakdown
•This year's position breakdown sees 10 recruits on defense and 10 on offense. The defensive recruiting group is made up of 3 defensive backs, 3 linebackers and 4 defensive linemen. Offensively, UW has 4 offensive linemen, 2 wide receivers, 1 running back, 2 tight ends, and 1 quarterback.
