Game Day Guide: Wyoming Hosts UNC in Saturday Home Opener

Saturday’s game will stream on MW+, with kickoff scheduled for 2 p.m. at War Memorial Stadium

LARAMIE, Wyo. - Wyoming will play its first home game of the 2026 season Saturday when Northern Colorado visits Jonah Field at War Memorial Stadium.


Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. Mountain Time. Be in your seats early for a special pre-game flyover. Saturday’s game will also feature Wyoming’s Stripe Out, Band Day and is a part of University of Wyoming Athletics Hall of Fame weekend.


For fans watching from home, the game will be streamed exclusively on MW+, the Mountain West Conference’s direct-to-consumer subscription platform.


Justin Adams will handle play-by-play duties for the MW+ broadcast. Jared Petrino and former Wyoming linebacker Logan Wilson will serve as color analysts.

Wilson played for Wyoming from 2015 through 2019 and finished his career with 421 tackles. The Casper native continued his football career with the Cincinnati Bengals and Dallas Cowboys after leaving Wyoming.


MW+ offers live and on-demand Mountain West programming. Subscriptions cost $10.99 per month or $79.99 annually, according to Wyoming Athletics.


Fans can also follow the game across the 26 affiliates of the Cowboy Sports Network. KFBC 1240 AM in Cheyenne is the network’s flagship station.


Keith Kelley will provide radio play-by-play alongside color analyst Kevin McKinney. Erick Pauley will report from the sideline.


The Cowboy Sports Network pregame show begins at 12:30 p.m., 90 minutes before kickoff. A 30-minute postgame show will air immediately after the game.

Ticket information


Wyoming Athletics expects a large crowd and encourages fans to arrive early. Tickets can be purchased online at GoWyo.com/tickets or by calling the UW Athletics Ticket Office at 307-766-7220.

The ticket office will open at 8 a.m. Saturday. Game-day tickets will initially be available at the west entrance of the Arena-Auditorium. The ticket location on the east side of War Memorial Stadium near Gate 4 will open four hours before kickoff.


Fans using mobile tickets should download them through the WYO Athletics app and add them to their Apple Wallet or Google Wallet before arriving at the stadium. Screenshots of mobile tickets will not be accepted.


Every person age 3 or older must have a ticket. UW students who have paid the required athletics fee can access their tickets through the WYO Athletics app and enter through Gate 3.

War Memorial Stadium gates will open at noon, two hours before kickoff. Fans are encouraged to be in their seats at least 30 minutes before the game.


Accessible seating is available on both sides of the stadium. Fans needing wheelchair-accessible seating or companion seating should contact the UW Athletics Ticket Office in advance.


Parking information


Parking lots surrounding War Memorial Stadium will open at 8 a.m. Saturday.

All 2026 season parking passes are mobile or print-at-home. Mobile parking passes can be accessed through a fan’s online account or the WYO Athletics app.


Single-game parking passes may also be purchased during the online ticket checkout process. Those passes provide access to the Brown, VA, Summit View and High Plains RV lots for the game.

Accessible parking is available free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis for vehicles displaying a state-issued disability placard. Designated accessible parking is available in lots AA, D, S, FA and H, along with the Cowboy Field Lot.


An ADA shuttle will operate from the Cowboy Field Lot off Willett Drive. Shuttle service begins at noon and continues until 30 minutes after the game.


Fans using a ride-share service can be picked up between Gates 3 and 4 outside the ticket office on the stadium’s east side. SafeRide will also operate from Gate 8 and provide free transportation within Laramie.


Tailgating is allowed in the parking lots. Open-container privileges begin at 8 a.m. in designated lots and end at kickoff. Tailgating activities must remain within each fan’s assigned parking space.

Weather forecast


Fans should expect warm and mostly cloudy conditions at War Memorial Stadium. The temperature is forecast to be approximately 77 degrees at the 2 p.m. kickoff before climbing to around 79 degrees during the second half.



Conditions should remain mostly cloudy throughout the game. Showers are forecast to become possible around 6 p.m., shortly after the expected conclusion of the contest.



Betting odds


Wyoming enters Saturday as a heavy favorite over Northern Colorado.

Most sportsbooks favor the Cowboys by about 23.5 points, though lines range from 22.5 to 24.5. The projected scoring total ranges from 47.5 to 49 points.


DraftKings lists Wyoming as a 23.5-point favorite with a total of 47.5 points.


Betting lines remain subject to change before kickoff.
