Attention students! A golden opportunity is knocking at your door. If you have a knack for video production and an interest in sports, then this may be the perfect opportunity for you. We are currently seeking student video assistants to support the UW Football team during their practices and games. This position does not require prior experience, although candidates with a background in operating video cameras and/or using Adobe Photoshop will be preferred.
What the Job Entails
As a student video assistant, you will be tasked with filming UW Football practices and games, capturing essential footage to be used for player development, game analysis, and promotional purposes. Additionally, you will be aiding the Recruiting Coordinator in preparing and organizing recruiting materials for prospective student-athletes.
Spring Ball Schedule
Candidates must be available to work 10 hours per week. The primary working hours will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 pm - 7 pm, as well as late Saturday mornings.
Fall Camp Schedule (July - August)
During Fall Camp, a time commitment of 25-30 hours per week is expected. The regular working hours will be 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM.
Fall Semester Schedule
During the Fall Semester, candidates must be available to work 10-15 hours per week from 3:30 pm - 7:15 pm, Monday to Thursday.
Additional Perks
The chosen candidates will get the opportunity to travel with the team to away games. They will also have the chance to work during the NFL Pro Day in March, and recruiting camps in June. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain real-world, hands-on experience in the sports industry, meet new people, and create a strong foundation for a future career in sports management, video production, or recruiting.
